 Most seniors (and other people) think that it needs to be ridiculously sunny for a good shoot. That is completely, 100% false! This shoot is a perfect example of beautiful evening light. Lately I've been trying to encourage shoots at later times in the day since that way you can get more of an overall good light instead of having moments or positions that aren't usable because of the nasty shadows or squinty eyes the sun creates. But.....Oregon isn't necessarily notorious for blindingly sunny days all the time, either. Ha. Anyways! I've just loved shooting in this kind of light lately! It has been gorgeous! But Jackie definitely made the job easy for this one, no matter what kind of light we had :) And she is, without question, the cutest little ball of happiness and brings me ice cream when I'm having a bad day.

I know I don't usually post personal shots, but I decided I needed to take a break from the norm a bit! Think I might do it a little more often :) 

These are from our 4th of July trip to low tide at the beach! 

  My mama took these of me! (mind you, the lens was on AF haha, but she did marvelous!)

Expect more and more updating with some fantastic shots going on! I still have about three sessions that I need to put up! Sheesh Sonja, such a slacker.

Kevin + Lisa: Engagements

 Have you ever had that feeling? You know, the one where you almost don't know exactly how to feel because you're so incredibly happy yet so extremely sad? I've got that feeling. This is my roommate Lisa and her fiance Kevin. They are more than perfect for each other. And the funny thing is, we ALWAYS told her that but she always said "No way, Kevin is like a brother!" Ha. Well, I'm so beyond happy for her yet it makes me wanna cry because it means she'll never be my roommate again because now she has to live with a boy. They are getting married August 26th in the Portland, Oregon Temple.
